Last day in Vladivostok & update on Katie
New English words our daughter says: "Bye, Bye, stinky, mama, dada (looks at pics of her Daddy), eat, la la lu...(sings all the time), Katie (her name when prompted), baby, beep beep...it seems like she learns a new English word each day. I have a feeling she will not be behind in her speech development for long! She's also attaching to me as mommy quite well and will not go to anyone else, so I don't think we have to worry about . Please continue with the prayers...as we still have a little over a week before we get to go home to Ohio! :-)
We can't wait to introduce her to all our family and friends...and let her see her new room full of toys. I get all giddy inside when I think of her reaction when she sees a room that is ALL hers and toys she does NOT have to share! :-) Though, sharing is a great quality and she learned those skills at the orphanage so they will come in handy at church. We are just SO glad that she is as smart as she is. God couldn't have given us a better gift of this baby girl...who, by the way thinks she is all grown up and in charge!!! I get the feeling that most parents feel this battle with two-year olds. We will call it the terrific two's! What a blessing in such a SMALL package!!!!
She is a real diva, even in her sleep!

Today, we received her Russian passport. Her passport photo is so cute!!! :-) I have an extra passport photo that I will scan when we get home. I had her pigtails up and her cute little heart sweater. I can't wait to scan it and share it. Today, we saw the embassy doctor and she stated Katie was only behind about six months on her psycho-speech development. We will see when we get back to the U.S. Tomorrow, we fly to Moscow and that gets us one step closer to being home with Katie. :-)
